Crispy Sage Croutons

Croutons

This recipe is great for soups or salads and is great if you have leftover bread. I love using sourdough bread as it is crusty and flavourful, but feel free to use any bread of your choosing.

Croutons

The sage gets nice and crispy and has a fragrant, aromatic taste that makes it a great addition to any dish. You could add other herbs such as rosemary or thyme etc., but you do what to make sure that you are using sturdy fresh herbs, nothing too delicate.

Croutons

A great tip is to massage the oil, spices and herbs into the bread to make sure everything is thoroughly coated. Make sure you give these a shake in between cooking to achieve an even and crisp bake. I love serving these with Roasted Tomato Soup.
